Frequently Asked Questions
The Max floor line — Max Classic, Max Select, Max Plus and Max Grand, along with their Fire counterparts — stands long guns upright. For handguns, Mycube Plus and Mycube Grand sit on a shelf or in a closet, and our Handgun holder drops into either one once the interior shelf is removed.
The Handgun holder is 6"H x 4"W x 7"L and holds two pistols upright, so it needs six inches of interior height. That means it fits the shelf and floor safes, but not the In-Drawer safes, which are 3.2" inside.
Every floor safe comes with a foam long gun holder, so these counts need no separate accessory.
Our standard Max safes:
- Max Classic — 6 long guns
- Max Select — 8
- Max Plus — 10
- Max Grand — 12
The Fire models depend on whether the included half divider is fitted:
- Max Classic Fire — 4 with the divider, 8 without
- Max Plus Fire — 6 with, 10 without
- Max Grand Fire — 8 with, 12 without
Leaving the divider out trades the separated interior for the higher count.
Every Mycube safe comes with a self-installation bolt kit — screws and washers — that works with most small power drills. Where it anchors depends on the form factor:
- Floor — the Max safes have pre-drilled holes on the bottom and the back, so you can bolt to the floor, the wall, or both. Max Classic has four on the bottom and two on the back; the Max Fire models anchor through two on the back.
- Shelf — four holes on the bottom and four on the back, to fasten to a shelf, a wall, or both. The Mycube Fire uses a single cement screw at the bottom.
- Drawer — the In-Drawer safes have four holes on the bottom and bolt down into the drawer itself. The Mycube Case does the same, and also ships with a cable lock that tethers it to a piece of fixed furniture if you would rather not drill.
Hole counts run from one to six depending on the model. Installation diagrams and videos are on each product's setup page, under How to Use.
Our Mycube safes are available with two keypad options. One features our traditional push-button keypad with one-touch locking. The other features a touchscreen keypad that conceals the code, along with a biometric fingerprint sensor that stores up to 10 unique fingerprints.
Mycube safes are built with high-quality, reinforced steel construction and plated-steel doors for lasting security.
There is no fire rating on the Mycube Mini, Mycube Classic, or Mycube Connect safes. Our Mycube Fire safe has certified one hour fire protection at 1700 degrees and is a commercial-grade fire protection safe.
Our home safes are best used for urban living, apartment buildings, homes, hotels, offices, and dormitories. Mycube is best suited to protect valuables, keep your items organized and locked up, and keep your valuables out of sight from people who access your home. The biometric line is perfect for customers wanting the benefits of the Mycube but with efficient biometric safe fingerprint access.
Mycube guarantees our products for their lifetime use. If any safe part stops working at any time throughout original ownership, you may contact Mycube and we will provide the replacement parts at our cost. Batteries are not covered under this warranty. Labor may be covered by Mycube should the replacement part be required due to a faulty part rather than an incident caused by forgetting to change your batteries, for example.
