Every safe, answered.
How do I secure a Mycube safe?
Every safe ships with a bolt kit — screws and washers that work with most small power drills. Depending on the model there are between one and six fixing points, on the bottom, the back, or both, so the safe can be fastened to a floor, a wall, a shelf or the base of a drawer.
Which safe should I choose?
Start with where it will live rather than with the model. A drawer safe disappears into furniture you already own. A shelf safe sits out in the open and is finished to look like it belongs there. A floor safe stands in a closet or against a wall and holds the most. Once you know the place, the size range and the fire rating narrow it quickly.
What are Mycube safes made of?
Reinforced steel construction with a plated-steel door. The fire-rated models add commercial fire-resistant board behind the same steel; the Mycube Fire uses galvanized steel with a fire-retardant core.
What happens if the battery runs out?
Most safes take four AA batteries, replaced about once a year, and ship with a manual override key to keep somewhere outside the safe. The Max line uses a rechargeable battery instead, topped up every six months. The Mycube Fire keeps its batteries on the outside of the door, so it does not need a key at all.
How is my safe delivered?
Shipping is free on every safe. Smaller safes come by standard carrier and generally leave us within two business days. The floor safes — Max and Max Fire — ship crated on a pallet and arrive curbside, so the driver brings it to your curb or driveway and you take it from there. For those, White Glove delivery is $595: inside to the room you choose, up to two flights of stairs, unpacked, with the pallet and packaging taken away.
What does the lifetime warranty cover?
We guarantee our safes for the life of your ownership. If a part stops working we provide the replacement at our cost, and labor too where the part itself was at fault. Batteries are not covered.
Mycube home safes
Mycube makes home safes that look like furniture. Reinforced steel and plated-steel doors, biometric and touchpad access, and finishes meant for the room they sit in rather than the back of a cupboard.
The range covers in-drawer, shelf, floor and in-wall safes, from a case that travels with a cable lock to a floor safe that bolts down. Every safe ships with a bolt kit, a 25-day risk-free trial, free shipping and a limited lifetime warranty on parts.
