Forgot Code

Forgot Code with Key:

If you forgot your code and have your manual key. Refer to the steps below: 

  1. Use the key to open the safe (the keyhole is the silver circle on the front of the safe)
  2. Click the reset button located on the inside door panel, above the battery compartment
  3. Once the safe is reset, refer to the video link below for instructions on setting up a new passcode:

Code Registration:

  1. Open the door, press **01#.
  2. You will hear “Please enter your password.”
  3. Enter a 4-6 digit password and press #, you will hear "please do again."
  4. Re-enter your password and press #.
  5. You can now proceed with setting your biometric fingerprint.

Fingerprint RegistrationMycube Touch Fingerprint Registration

  1. Open the door, press **02#, you will hear “Please verify.”
  2. Enter your password and press #.
  3. After verification you will hear “Please put your finger on scan sensor”
  4. Then you will hear “Please do again” twice.
  5. When your fingerprint registration is completed successfully, you will hear “Fingerprint registration complete.”
  6. If verification fails, you will hear “verification failed”, system will quit. Please restart the process.*Note: If there's any issue with the fingerprint while registering it for first time, clear the safe, by pressing *.
  7. Then place the middle of your fingerprint on the sensor first. Rotate slightly to the right side, then rotate slightly to the left side so that the sensor captures the full fingerprint with the three reads. *

Forgot Code without Key:

If you forgot your code and do not have a key, try using any registered fingerprint to open the safe. If a fingerprint can't be used, contact our Customer Support team at support@mycubesafe.com to purchase a replacement key.

Dead Battery

Dead Battery with Key - Use your key to open the safe and charge the battery, refer to the instructions below:

1. Insert the key into the keyhole (located in the silver circle on the front of the safe).
2. Remove the rechargeable battery from the inside of the safe door.
3. Utilize the charging cable to recharge the battery.

Dead Battery without Key - there are a couple of options available to resolve the issue:

1. Use an external battery pack or charger block to power the keypad. Once the keypad has power, you can enter your code to open the safe. Here are examples of the parts we recommend:

USB-C Amazon Product (Note: request that the customer look at the port on their keypad to confirm whether this cord will fit their safe)

2. Contact our Customer Support team at support@mycubesafe.com to purchase a replacement key.

Lost Key

If you lost your manual key and your safe still has power, use your code or a registered fingerprint to open your safe.

Keypad Not Illuminating

If your keypad is not illuminating, lightly press on the keypad to illuminate digits and wake up the keypad.

Fingerprint Not Registering

If there is an issue registering your fingerprint for first time, clear the safe, by pressing *. Then place the middle of your fingerprint on the sensor first. Rotate slightly to the right side, then rotate slightly to the left side so that the sensor captures the full fingerprint with the three reads.

Verification Failed Message

If you are receiving the verification failed message when attempting to setup your safe for the first time, place your finger on the fingerprint sensor to reset the safe back to the factory default setting.

HOLD Message

If you are receiving the HOLD message followed by a number (example - HOLD15), that indicates that you have entered an incorrect code too many times and your safe has begun the 15 minute countdown until you can retry. Wait until the countdown is complete, before trying to reenter your code. If you continue to receive the HOLD message, use your manual key to open your safe and reset your passcode. Refer to the instructions below:

Once your safe is open, refer to the steps below to reset your code:

  1. Open the door, press ** and the current password and press #. You will hear “please enter new password”
  2. Enter the new password and press #, you will hear “please do again”
  3. Re-enter your password and press #.
  4. Your password change is complete!

MyKit Accessory Pack

Your safe comes with an accessory pack that contains a rechargeable battery, charger cord, installation hardware, and a set of keys. Please keep your manual keys outside of your safe for easy access in the event that you get locked out of your safe or need to recharge your battery.

Battery Charging

You should charge your batteries whenever the low batt message appears or if you notice delayed responsiveness when touching your keypad. Use the charging cable and charger block to charge your battery until the light becomes blue or green.
