Forgot Code
Forgot Code - Manual Key
- The fire safe has two codes, if you forgot the first code, use the second code to open the safe
- If you forgot both codes, use the manual key to open your safe
- Remove the plastic keyhole covering by inserting long thin instrument under the keypad.
- Insert the override key into the keyhole and turn it clockwise to open the lock
- Turn handle to open the door. Note: After opening the safe door, turn the override key counter-clockwise before pulling it out. Do not forget to put the keyhole cover back on.
- Proceed with resetting your codes: • Changing The 1st User Code - Note: Always perform the operation with the door open • Press the "reset" button (it is located on back of the safe door or on the door frame of hinge side. Color to be red or green) • Enter your new digit code (3-8 digits) • Press "#" to confirm your new code Valid code entry - LCD screen shows "In." It indicates that the 1st user code has been changed successfully. • Changing The 2nd User Code - Note: Always perform the operation with the door open • Press "#" • Press “0” twice • Press "reset" button (it is located on back of the safe door or on the door frame of hinge side. Color to be red or green) • Enter your new digit code (3-8 digits, and it must be different from the 1st user code) 5) Press "#" to confirm your new code Valid code entry - LCD screen shows "In." Dead Battery - Power Pack
If battery is dead, the external battery pack (provided with safe) can be used to supply power to your keypad.
- Install four 4-AA size batteries into the external battery pack
- Insert the plug of the external battery pack into the jack located to the left of the keypad
- Open the safe using your existing code
- Replace the safe batteries with 4 AA alkaline batteries
Dead Battery - Manual Key
If the electronic lock runs out of batteries, the manual key can be used to open the door.
- Open the key compartment under the faceplate of the electronic lock
- Insert the override key into the keyhole and turn it clockwise to open the lock
- Turn handle to open the door. Note: After opening the safe door, turn the override key counter-clockwise before pulling it out. Do not forget to put the keyhole cover back on.
- Replace the batteries with 4-AA alkaline batteries
Dead Battery - No Battery Pack or Manual Key
If your battery is dead and you do not have your battery pack or manual key, please send an email to support@mycubesafe.com and a member from our Customer Service Team will contact you to provide further assistance.
Lost Key
If you lost your manual key and your safe still has power, use one of your codes to open your safe.

Receiving An Error
There can be several reasons why you are receiving error when attempting to open your safe. Please go to the Troubleshooting section for solutions to common errors or send an email to support@mycubesafe.com and a member from our Customer Service Team will contact you to provide further assistance.
Setting Up Your Safe
Refer to the steps below to setup your safe:
- Once the safe is out of the box, you will need to take the batteries out of the packaging and place them in the external battery pack. Then plug the battery pack into the front of the safe in the hole opening. The keypad will light up.
- Press the factory set code #168# and turn the knob to open the safe door. You can now go through the remaining steps to set your new user codes. There are two sets of user codes. They have same function and equal authority: NOTE: We highly recommend changing both codes.
- 1st user code - Factory set to 168
- 2nd user code - Factory set to 88888888

Opening and Closing Your Safe
- Press "#" button to engage the lock, and then enter a valid digit code (if your code is constituted by fewer than eight (8) digits, then press "#" again after entering the code)
- When the valid code is entered, the LCD screen shows "OPEN" Example: #-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8 or #-1-6-8-#
- Turn handle to open the door within a few seconds. (Some models are installed with the Security key, and then you need to insert the key to open the door before handle operation.) • Hiding your code: Press "" before performing step 1 & 2, then the LCD screen will not show the numbers you enter. It prevents your code from being seen by the others. • Deleting wrong entry: Press "" to delete one number. Press and hold "*" to delete all entries.
Closing your safe
- Close the door
- Turn the handle or key back to the locked position

LO-BAT Message
The LO-BAT message indicates that your batteries are low. Replace the batteries using 4-AA alkaline batteries.

Alarm
You will hear an alarm if the wrong passcode has been entered three (3) times consecutively. Invalid codes starts a 10-second alarm and 3-minute lock out. You can retry once the 3-minute lock out time has passed.
Mykit Accessory Pack
Every safe come with an accessory pack which contains a set of 4 AA batteries, wrenches and a set of keys. Please keep your manual keys and wrenches outside of your safe for easy access in the event that you get locked out of your safe or need to change the batteries.

Handling
Never move or pick up the safe with the door open. The safe will tip over because of the weight of the door.
