It depends on what you are storing and where it is going. Compact safes (3-9 inches tall) suit a nightstand, a drawer, or a shelf and handle jewelry, documents, and small valuables. Standard safes (11-24 inches) are the most popular choice for a closet shelf or cabinet and hold more of everything. Every Mycube ships with a self-installation bolt kit so the safe can be fastened to the floor, a shelf, or a wall, which is what stops a thief from simply carrying it out.

There are six points of contact where the Mycube Max interior allows screws to secure the safe to a wall and floor or shelf. Four are on the bottom and two are on the back. Position the safe, mark the surface through the pre-drilled holes, remove the safe, drill your marks, then reposition it and secure each provided screw with a washer until it can no longer be turned by hand. Mycube safes are made of one-eighth-inch thick steel with plated-steel doors.

Every Mycube comes with a manual override key that opens the safe if the battery needs recharging. Recharge the battery every six months, and keep the keys somewhere outside the safe.

Some of them. The Mycube Fire is certified for one hour of fire protection at 1700 degrees Fahrenheit, and the Max Fire line is fire resistant for up to one hour. If any safe part stops working at any time throughout original ownership, you may contact Mycube and we will provide the replacement parts at our cost. Batteries are not covered under this warranty. Labor may be covered by Mycube should the replacement part be required due to a faulty part rather than an incident caused by forgetting to change your batteries, for example.
