Dead Battery - No Manual Key
If your battery is dead and you cannot locate your key, use an external battery pack with a USB port to provide power to the keypad. Here are the parts we recommend. You'll want to get these specific parts:

If your keypad does not function with the use of a power pack, please send an email to support@mycubesafe.com and a member from our Customer Service Team will contact you to provide further assistance.
Lost Key
If you lost your manual key and your safe still has power, use your code to open your safe.
If you are interested in purchasing a replacement key, please send an email to support@mycubesafe.com and a member from our Customer Service Team will contact you to provide further assistance.
Receiving An Error
There can be several reasons why you are receiving error when attempting to open your safe. Please go to the Troubleshooting section for solutions to common errors or send an email to support@mycubesafe.comand a member from our Customer Service Team will contact you to provide further assistance.
Unresponsive Safe
If you just changed your batteries and your safe is unresponsive, ensure that you click the switch on the inside of the door to restore power to your keypad. If you already clicked that switch and your safe is still unresponsive, please send an email to support@mycubesafe.comand a member from our Customer Service Team will contact you to provide further assistance.
Corroded Batteries
If the batteries have corroded, use white vinegar and Q-tip to clean off the coils. Once coils are clean install 4AA batteries and remember to flip the switch. If that still doesn't work, please send an email to support@mycubesafe.comand a member from our Customer Service Team will contact you to provide further assistance.
Ebar Message
This error occurs when the safe's circuit board no longer works. There are two options to address this issue:
- Order a new lock assembly and keypad
- Purchase a new safe (recommended) – Mycube will buy back your safe

E-code Message
E-code means "error code". This error will appear if you are typing in the incorrect code. If you can't remember your code, use your manual key to open the safe then follow the Reset Code instructions to reset your code. Refer to the following video for instructions on resetting your code:
Safe Plugged In & No Power
The digital keypad runs on 4-AA batteries that are located inside the small black battery box on the inside of the front door. The outlet inside the safe is used to charge any electronic devices you have inside of the safe. It must be plugged into a wall outlet in order to charge those devices. Refer to the video link below for instructions on replacing your batteries:
Keypad Displays 8's
If your keypad displays 8's and you cannot open your safe, this usually indicates that your batteries are dead. Use the manual key to open your safe and replace the 4AA batteries. Then turn off and on the small black switch inside the safe and see if that changes the error message.

If replacing the batteries or using of a power pack, does resolve the issue, you will need to order a replacement lock assembly and keypad or order a new safe. Please send an email to support@mycubesafe.com and a member from our Customer Service Team will contact you to provide further assistance.
Safe Does Not Work After Changing Batteries
If your safe batteries have been replaced and the safe still does not work, even after flipping the switch, there could be corrosion in the battery case on the coils. Check your battery coils for any corrosion. If there is corrosion, use white vinegar and a Q-tip to clean the coils. Once done, you can replace the batteries then click the switch on the inside of the door to restore power to your keypad.
