Setting Up Your Safe
Refer to the steps below to setup your safe:
- Once the safe is out of the box, you will need to take the batteries out of the packaging and place them in the external battery pack. Then plug the battery pack into the front of the safe in the hole opening. The keypad will light up.
- Press the factory set code #168# and turn the knob to open the safe door. You can now go through the remaining steps to set your new user codes. There are two sets of user codes. They have same function and equal authority: NOTE: We highly recommend changing both codes.
- 1st user code - Factory set to 168
- 2nd user code - Factory set to 88888888
Changing The 1st User Code - Note: Always perform the operation with the door open
- Press the "reset" button (it is located on back of the safe door or on the door frame of hinge side. Color to be red or green)
- Enter your new digit code (3-8 digits)
- Press "#" to confirm your new code Valid code entry - LCD screen shows "In." It indicates that the 1st user code has been changed successfully.
Changing The 2nd User Code - Note: Always perform the operation with the door open
- Press "#"
- Press “0” twice
- Press "reset" button (it is located on back of the safe door or on the door frame of hinge side. Color to be red or green)
- Enter your new digit code (3-8 digits, and it must be different from the 1st user code)
- Press "#" to confirm your new code Valid code entry - LCD screen shows "In." It indicates that the 2nd user code has been changed successfully.
Opening and Closing Your Safe
Opening your safe
- Press "#" button to engage the lock, and then enter a valid digit code (if your code is constituted by fewer than eight (8) digits, then press "#" again after entering the code)
- When the valid code is entered, the LCD screen shows "OPEN" Example: #-8-8-8-8-8-8-8-8 or #-1-6-8-#
- Turn handle to open the door within a few seconds. (Some models are installed with the Security key, and then you need to insert the key to open the door before handle operation.) • Hiding your code: Press "" before performing step 1 & 2, then the LCD screen will not show the numbers you enter. It prevents your code from being seen by the others. • Deleting wrong entry: Press "" to delete one number. Press and hold "*" to delete all entries.
Closing your safe
- Close the door
- Turn the handle or key back to the locked position
